Quotations Analyst

The Company
Our client is a well recognised life and pensions provider, a FTSE100 company with a strong presence in retirements sector and in particular the annuities market which is growing in the UK and will continue to do so for many years due to the position of the pensions market in the UK.
The Role
The job will involve working in a growing team preparing detailed, accurate quotations for final salary pension scheme buyouts, specifying details to a bespoke quotations system, using Excel spreadsheets and preparing Word documents. The key responsibilities involve:
* Producing new business quotations for group pension schemes which wish to purchase deferred and/or current annuities in bulk.
* Analysing the quotation requirements, interpreting and formulating these to define benefit structures that take into account scheme specifications and current legislation.
* Applying the correct costing basis taking into account market conditions, whilst ensuring that instructions received from the sales consultant match the broker requirements.
* Produce the quotation proposal.
* Provide an independent check at each stage of the quotation to ensure that the quotation and documentation are accurate and that the customer requirements are fulfilled.
* Monitor the progress of the quotation at each stage.
* Calculate the accurate final costs of the sold bulk annuity scheme.
You will also produce cash flows, calculate and check Transfer Values, undertake special projects and keep up-to-date with developments in the pricing model and other associated software and processes.
Skills & Experience Required
Ideally you will be a graduate within a mathematical discipline, capable of logical thinking, data analysis and problem solving. Our client will also consider applications from people with good 'A' level Maths grades together with experience of corporate pension schemes.
