Product / Category Manager

The Role: The main brief is that you will be responsible for the design, promotion and ongoing management of products and services in the annuity sector consistent with company brand values. In addition, you will be responsible for the following:
* The commercial development of new annuity initiatives
* Manageing existing products to ensure they remain appropriate to market, competitive and consistent with company brand values.
* Maintain a detailed understanding of the company's competitive position, where appropriate propose pricing changes aimed at ensuring business plans are achieved.
* Ensure features benefits and position in retirement market are promoted and understood internally and externally.
* Ensure that the category P&L is delivered to plan via close liaison with Sales, Finance/Actuarial and Operations.
* Ensure that target customers are understood and that product features, benefits and position.
Experience / Skills Required: You must possess a minimum of 2 years experience of working in a high quality marketing or product specialist environment where brand development has been a key focus. In-depth pensions experience is required and ideally you will have full FPC/CF status. Other requirements include presentation skills, creative ability in relation to products and marketing, sound experience/understanding of distribution channels and the ability to negotiate.
