Paraplanner
A Chartered Financial Planning Practice requires a high calibre Paraplanner. Business is thriving and the immediate need is for someone who is already making progress with the Diploma and wants to continue along these lines and develop long-term.
The Company: This long established and secure business provides fee-based advice to both individual and corporate clients around the UK, with this role focusing on individual business. You will be part of a team of 10 people, including 3 Partners and it is these Partners that you will assist on a daily basis.
The Role: The mainstay of the post includes product research, analysis and report preparation. After a Partner has met a client, you will discuss that clients requirements, the Partner will present you with their file and after agreeing a client strategy, you will put together a full and comprehensive report. The Partner may decide to make one or two minor adjustments and the report will be put together using a mixture of 1st Software, Word and a variety of templates. Overall, the key functions and responsibilities include:
* The technical and practical evaluation of a wide variety of products; sharing product information with advisers and paraplanners.
* Help produce and maintain a hold, fold and buy list through technical assessment of fund managers and individual fund performance; sharing fund research with advisers and paraplanners.
* Assist the development and implementation of a strategy that will enable a client to meet financial objectives.
* Prepare letters, reports and other documents as part of the advice process including reviews.
* Help advisers prepare for client meetings including the preparation of all relevant paperwork.
* Update client records, analyse progress and present information in accordance with our clients Review Proposition.
* Help ensure that all dealings with clients are in accordance with internal and regulatory guidelines.
* Assist in the development of systems and procedures in respect of all points above.
Skills / Experience Required: You should be an enthusiastic, knowledgeable Paraplanner, with good organisational skills. Accuracy and an eye for detail are also viewed as valuable traits, as is the desire to better yourself.
Additional Information: The role is based in West Kent and the package consists of a basic to £38,000 + profit related pay + flexi-time, which can be used to accumulate an additional 12 days holiday or taken as overtime.
