Senior Pensions Administrator

Our client offers a full range of actuarial, employee benefit consultancy and pension administration services across the UK. Their clients are a mixture of pension scheme trustees and employers from a broad spectrum of businesses, charities, unions and institutions.

This new vacancy will see the successful applicant assume day to day responsibility as the lead administrator for a portfolio of clients, ensuring an efficient and effective delivery of service.

The main responsibilities will include acting as the senior administration contact for a number of schemes, checking/signing out all administration tasks, including calculations for leavers, retirements, deaths and transfers. You will also work on letters and statements, updating the administration database, quarterly administration reports, annual benefit statements and pension increases as well as the provision of data for annual report & accounts and annual reporting.

The role will include supervising more junior members of staff, attending trustee meetings, managing various ad-hoc projects and generally ensuring deadlines and service levels are met. A wide ranging and varied role.

The requirements are that you you have experience in the administration of DB schemes, including leavers, retirements, deaths, transfers in, transfers out, benefit statements, renewals and pension increases. You should also be aware of current pensions legislation, particularly knowledge of post A-day regime and impact on administration. You should have a good head for figures and be willing to study for the QPA/PMI qualifications if not already done so.
