Our client has developed in recent years into one of the top broking, consultancy, healthcare and risk benefit intermediaries. They have significant influence in the industry and help shape the market for the benefit of their clients.
The main responsibilities include keeping the Flex database records up to date, processing leavers, joiners and changes and running the monthly reports to enable client payrolls to be processed on time.
You should have a good understanding of the benefits being made available within the industry and a basic understanding of the tax and NI treatments used for various benefits. You need to possess basic Excel skills for formatting reports and carrying out simple calculations and ideally an understanding of the DotNet database structure.
The additional elements that you will be exposed to include:
Budgets - You will be required to assist in drawing up annual budgets for each of your clients.
Client Annual Planner - You will be required to assist in drawing up an annual plan for each client and sometimes participate in delivering that plan.
Fee Agreements - You will need to be broadly familiar with client fee agreements, in order to identify if the team are being asked to carry out work outside of that agreement.
Client Meetings - Each client should have a meeting schedule and it is your responsibility to ensure these are actioned and attended as appropriate.
You will also get involved periodically with client entertainment. This is a really varied role and one in which you will learn a lot more about the industry as well as being able to utilise well established training and development programmes.
