Medical Manager, Chichester, West Sussex

My client is a leading international claims and assistance group. They employ over 400 people from claims handlers to medical and flight operations specialists from their base in West Sussex.

They are currently looking for a Medical Manager to work full time from Chichester. In essence the role is for an office based Nurse that will manage the medical aspect of repatriations. As it is office based, a good telephone manner and some IT skills are required.

The role will include
• Discussing cases with Doctors and Nurses abroad
• Obtaining medical reports
• Building a clinical picture of the patient
• Making decisions on when a patient returns and by what means

The role may also involve some overseas travel assisting with repatriation.

They would be interested in Nurses with a broad knowledge of general clinical experience. Experience in cardiology, critical care and surgical experience would be of particular interest. Nurses must be RGN with at least 3 years post-registration experience. The role is full time (37.5 hrs per week) on a rotating shift pattern, which could involve 8hr or 12hr shifts. There is no night work required but there is an expectation of weekend work.
